Your Guarantees
We know that mail order can add uncertainty
about what you are buying, we want you to buy with absolute confidence.
Your statutory rights are not affected by this guarantee.
Damaged/Missing Goods
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have not received
your order when it is expected. Parcels sent by our Courier
Service are rarely delayed or go missing.
Do not accept any package if it appears damaged and notify
us immediately if you have refused the package. It is always
advisable to sign for goods as ‘unexamined’. In
the event of a claim against the carrier, you will need to
answer
any enquiries from them or we can not accept responsibility
for compensation. The packing materials must be kept for the
carrier’s inspection.
Returning Goods

Please telephone us immediately if the goods arrive damaged.
A full refund, including postage costs, will be made on receipt
of the returned goods.

You may change your mind and cancel your order at any time
from placing the order until 7 working days after you take
delivery. Your cancellation must be in writing, either by
letter or email, and the cost of returning the goods will
remain your responsibility. The goods must be returned undamaged
and capable for resale at the full price. You will receive
a full refund of the product cost within 30 days or, if preferred,
a credit towards your account. This guarantee cannot be extended
to any item that has been made to your specification, or which
is not a stock item, purchased to your special request.

Pay now with a credit/debit card:
Credit/debit card payments are processed through
a secure payment page by an independent company called Sagepay
(how secure am I?
find out more...).
Sagepay refer the payment details to the debit/credit card
issuer, and validation is confirmed by the password entered at
this stage. The password is registered by the card owner
with the card issuer and this information is not made known to
George Weil & Sons Ltd.

credit/debit card within 5 working days.

Pay later with a cheque
A
confirmation email will be sent. Quote the order number
on the back of the cheque and send it within 5 working days.
Payment for Overseas Customers
Any of the 4 previous options can be chosen as
a method of payment, plus Paypal.
Items out of Stock
Our policy is to fill 95% of orders from stock. If we are
out of stock on any item priced over £4.95, you will
be notified and the remainder of your order will be sent as
soon as the goods are available at no additional carriage
cost.
Handling & Delivery Information
Orders received week days and before 12 noon will normally
be delivered within 3 working days to addresses in the UK.
Delivery time is not predictable but will be before 5.30pm,
week days. Please see below for delivery information on orders
from overseas.
If you place an order during the weekend, please allow a
further 24 hours.
UK handling & delivery charges are:
orders up to £50.00 net = £4.95
orders up to £94.99 net = £3.45
orders over £95.00 net = FREE delivery
orders over £4.95 from George Weil Society members = FREE delivery
magazines & magazine subscriptions = FREE delivery
Please ensure that your goods can be received, or give
instructions where they can be left safely, as free re-delivery
cannot be guaranteed.

Overseas Customers
Orders from overseas customers are welcome. You
will be advised of the delivery cost in a separate email.
Please see above 'Payment Options' for method of payment.
Proceed through the check out area, complete the 'notes' section
specifying a preference for either surface or airmail and provide
us with payment details.
The goods will not be dispatched until we have received a response to
our email confirming carriage costs.
VAT at the current rate is included in the prices shown on
this web site. For orders from countries outside
the EU & Channel Islands, the total order value will be
adjusted to remove the VAT. The buyer may be liable for import
tax
and duty at the rate set by their government.
Prices
All prices are shown inclusive of VAT (sales tax) at the
current rate and will be charged to EU residents using the
rate applicable at the invoice date. Non EU residents, and
residents of the Channel Islands, do not pay sales tax for
orders delivered to their residential address. The prices
within the catalogue and published on the web site are
subject to change without prior notice.
Savings
The
George Weil Society (GWS) offers members 10% discount on all
products (excluding books and magazines and any individual item
over £500.00) plus free handling & delivery on orders over
£4.95. A membership can be bought for £19.50 at the same
time as placing an order and the benefits start immediately.
You can also save when you order multiples of specific products.

yarns and fibres and 15% on silk scarves!
Product Advice
Due to the nature of the materials we sell,
there will often be variation from batch to batch and with
the papers, between sheets. We suggest you order the
required quantity to complete a project and we will try
to match items as closely as possible. Whilst we are happy to give advice on product
use, we cannot accept liability as conditions of use are
totally outside our control.
